| AK
amputees often have very specific needs for additional socket
padding to accommodate sensitive areas. The Alpha® AK
LIner takes this fact into account with the creation of a
specific AK gel style: 9mm of gel distally tapering to 3mm
proximally with a built in gel pad to protect the often sensitive
femur. The Alpha® Spirit Fabric used in the Alpha®
AK Liner is unique in its ability to flex during donning or
doffing, while providing outstanding support on this limb.
This distinctive fabric pattern is optimized for transfemoral
applications.
While developing the
Alpha® AK Liner, Ohio Willow Wood's R&D department
took the best of what was learned with the Alpha® Original
Liner and applied it to meet more specific needs of AK amputees.
The Alpha® AK
Liner is designed for use with a shuttle lock and 10 mm
pin, or the Alpha® Locking Lanyard. Now AK amputees
